Auto Industry: Work in Process Steel Pallets
  • Auto Industry: Work in Process Steel Pallets

Making it "the Model" for the Future Because So Successful

4 different models have since been designed with this same concept, including 2 unique models from a sister plant in Indiana

    • INDUSTRY

      Automotive

    • THE "ASK"

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky wanted to develop a prototype of a pallet that could carry both, left-hand and right-hand fenders.

    • HOW IT'S USED

      Carry car fender components.

    • UNIQUE ABOUT THE SPECS

After evaluating the customer concept around the mother pallet, we determined their concept was not structurally adequate to hold the specified load.  We redesigned the rack using Autodesk Inventor™  with stress analysis to determine the proper material size and load.

    • HOW WE HELPED THE CUSTOMER

Our designer prevented a potential safety and quality issue.  The original design would have potentially allowed parts to slide off the pallet because of bowing.

    • WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you and the team for the great support you have given TMMI so far. Not only is the quality of the pallets, fencing, and other fabrications meeting or exceeding our expectations, the service has been great as well.

I appreciate your ability to meet the delivery dates for our recent orders given the compressed schedules, and too frequent design revisions, we have thrown your way. I have shared your contact information within TMMI, including to an onsite purchasing representative, to see if others can also benefit from your services. I am looking forward to doing more projects with your company in the future."
