    A robotic weld cell automation manufacturer requested a fabricated prototype of a robotic weld cell.

  • HOW IT'S USED

    A robotic welding cell automates the welding process within a confined and safe production welding cell. With an operator inputting weld parameters and other instructions into the robot controller and teach pendant, the welding robot and part positioner seamlessly work together to create consistent, high-quality and fast welds.

  • UNIQUE ABOUT THE SPECS

    While Valence had the request to build a basic prototype, the operations team went above and beyond with its scoping and reviews with the customer to improve the manufacturability. 

  • HOW WE HELPED THE CUSTOMER

    The Valence operations team recommended that the prints be divided into separate files to better define the dimensions. For example, to be able to see the hole sizes & distances for manufacturability. 

     

    Valence recommended to powder coat over paint to reduce waste as well as improve durability & appearance.

     

    Lastly, the weld consistency was improved from previously produced units with reduced spatter and porosity.
