The “ask”

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky wanted to develop a prototype of a pallet that could carry both, left-hand and right-hand fenders.

How it was used

Carry car fender components.

Unique about the specs

After evaluating the customer concept around the mother pallet, we determined their concept was not structurally adequate to hold the specified load.  We redesigned the rack using Autodesk Inventor  with stress analysis to determine the proper material size and load.

Unique about how we helped the customer

Our designer prevented a potential safety and quality issue.  The original design would have potentially allowed parts to slide off the pallet because of bowing.

What people are saying

"I would like to recommend…for further business within Toyota North America, particularly related to packaging. I have been using [them] for years, primarily in the construction of …blank pallets. They …always deliver a quality product on time. In the rare occasions that I have had an issue with their product they have been quick to remedy the situation.

…communicates well and gives regular schedule updates during their build.

…They also have been helpful in providing recommendations on how to improve the products I have had them working on…would be a great addition as a potential fabricator for these pallets."
